  • Afaik they have to sign the package. If you gave your moms adress your mom is the one who will actually need to sign. On the other hand, mine got delivered and they didn’t ask me to show an ID or asked if I was the right person.

And you should be able to get it from a pickup location but FedEx isn’t that big in germany so you should expect some distance. Before delivery, mine was stored in a city about an hour away from me (with a car).

If you still want to do the pickup version, you should contact FedEx with your contact info, your ID and your order information and should be able to do that (not guaranteed though, because I’ve never used this and couldn’t choose an option like this in the shipping menu)

  • How long did you wait for the respone? They have a full support queue still waiting. Even if you get rejected you should get a response.

This sounds more like a problem for the carrier rather than framework. You should ask them again and tell them that your package didn’t get delivered. You should wait for their response (about 2 weeks should be appropriate).

By then you should have a response of framework and can decide your next steps. If FedEx declines you can threaten them with legal steps. You should keep that as the last step though.

  • I don’t know how it’s done in the philippines but here in europe the customs and taxes are paid directly by framework. That’s because EU laws force companies to portray the price including taxes and have to directly pay them with your order.

Maybe your country does the same? But nontheless it would be pretty easy to find out:

Go on the framework website and choose your laptop. Add it to the cart and see if it includes taxes. Then you would need to know the tax rate of the philippines on electronics and calculate them in. Now you know the price it will cost for the laptop to arrive (I assume that the shipping is free everywhere like here in europe)

  • Even for a bunch of tabs and programs opened, you shouldn’t run into problems with 32GB. Except if you really need it of course (you would probably know this already though, if it was limiting you).

Do you intend to game a bit on it? Because if so, I would recommend the CL40 RAM. If not, you probably are fine with CL46 because it is cheaper.

If you aren’t sure about the capacity you could look up guides for your programs and use cases.

  • You shouldn’t use an expansion card as an OS-drive. But you could split your SSD into multiple partitions and dual boot off of it. On the other hand you could use the second SSD slot as well.

My best advice would be to make a really small Windows partition (only the OS plus a bit of storage for personal stuff) and use an expansion card as your game storage. That way you could use it on a different machine as well.
