I loved my Samsung Galaxy Q. But now that I’m used to gesture typing, I wouldn’t go back. It’s much faster than hitting keys individually with my thumbs.

One thing I do miss though is how quick it was to select/copy/paste.

I started dating someone and then realized pretty fast I didn’t like him that way.

The dude was already pretty depressed as a baseline, and I feel like giving him hope and then taking it away like that has dropped him pretty deep into negativity.

Maybe do robotics (likely in a simplified way; surely “robots for dummies” is a thing?) and have them make their robots compete in some sort of competition at the end of the year.

I’m not even a competitive person at all, but when our school had us compete on Popsicle stick bridges, I had a ton of fun. Creative projects with a clear, real-world benchmark at the end are really fun.

I used to get so angry at my dad for trying to pull that trick. I didn’t expose his lie but man was I not cool with being dishonest to save a few bucks.

Russians absolutely have guns. And their laws aren’t very strict. And you seriously think the majority of developed countries where gun laws are stricter than the US’s are in imminent danger of tyranny?

Sheesh. Tyranny absolutely doesn’t care about guns, and even appreciates them in some ways. Because before things are bad enough that government weaponry (which citizens can never hope to match if the government is serious enough) is used to enforce it, militias of extremists will absolutely start the process of turning the country to shit. And will not prevent actual tyrannical behaviour by the government.

Proud Boys standing at polling stations with military weapons to intimidate voters for “safety”. Extremist anti-abortion nutheads enforcing their point of view regardless of laws or basic logic. Police murdering citizens for minor offenses or unfounded suspicions, where a gun on the citizen’s person couldn’t possibly do anything but make the cops more afraid and more violent. (What you gonna do with your guns? Start a frickin’ war with the police? You know they’ll call for reinforcements and now have a perfectly valid reason to shoot, right?)

Those are all happening in the US. Guns aren’t helping with any of this tyrannical behaviour, and while I’m not willing to put my hand over the fire over this take, it would be reasonable to consider whether the popularity of gun laws and lax gun regulation have made things worse.

On mobile, it’s very bearable. You can skip them quickly.

On TV, oh boy. It’s super long and now you have to skip several times in an ad block to reduce your ad duration to the minimum.

As for desktop… Idk I only sit at my desk for work.

I’m a big fan of fake brands/products in anime. I don’t know why, but they bring me joy.

Leftover powder on the road is a different beast. It’s often mixed up with a little bit of sand, and it’s been crushed into a powder that doesn’t feel like natural snow at all. It doesn’t stick and it slips like fine sand. Not a fun time. A little pile of 2-3 cm of the stuff was enough to almost make me completely lose control last year. Scary stuff.

People have tried to get me into Monster Hunter several times, with little success. There’s just a lot of work involved.

Lots of crafting and farming, and once you’re ready, the fight itself is a lot of work. It takes a long time due to large HP pools.

There are a zillion builds, and the story isn’t exactly deep enough to engage me despite the shortcomings. To me, it’s basically Elden Ring, but with the aspects I don’t like turned to 11.

I’ll have a new bike with different winter tires this year but last year my bike would get dangerously destabilized by the smallest amount of leftover powder snow trail from the snow clearing machines, so I stayed well away from uncleared roads.

But for one, as you say, that was forgetting about how uncleared snow is not the same, and also, new tires this year.

I’ll give it a try next time. It’ll probably be safer to avoid the cars for a little bit longer anyway.
