AI isn’t going away, there may be some consolidation of providers and right sizing of costs but AI is here to stay. Too many big companies have invested too much for it to fail.

Another low-effort, inaccurate meme. A true comparison would be if you replaced the first screenshot with an image of someone clicking the update button.
I don’t mind criticising Windows but go after the genuine reasons for moving to Linux. No spyware, no AI forced on you etc.
Yeah, that’ would’ve been the way to do it before cameras were added.
It probably also does steering wheel height, aircon temp etc.
If the manufacturer is required by law to have a camera to monitor driver fatigue then they’ll make use it for other things like this.
Depends on the car. I think Tesla’s are always connected, but other brands you have to put a SIM card in so you have a choice.
I get the concern, I wouldn’t want to be monitored constantly by a 3rd party, but in this case I think it’s just for safety (monitoring driver fatigue) and convenience.
You don’t login, the car recognises you and adjusts settings such as the seat position to the way you like to have it without you having to do it manually, it’s a convenience thing.

This is America, wouldn’t it be easier just to buy a gun? I get that 3D printers can make ghost guns that aren’t traceable but how many crimes have occurred where that is the murder weapon?

Yeah, I’m struggling to understand the Rosetta Stone analogy as well.

Born 1972.
Life was simpler, 1 TV in the house, 1 corded phone. So technology didn’t dominate our lives like it does now. As kids we were more active than kids today are.
While some would say life was better then, that is not necessarily the case. People still struggled to pay their bills, they were scared of the Cold War, AIDS and the hole in the ozone layer. They were more likely to die of cancer, heart attacks and other illnesses that modern medicine is better at dealing with.
If life seems worse now, in many respects it’s because of the media, in all its forms, which mainly focuses on the negative, and it’s much harder to avoid than it was in the 1900’s

I don’t understand the need to back in at all? When modern cars have parking sensors and reversing cameras you shouldn’t need to, especially as it holds everyone up while you’re doing it.

This!
At the train station I see so many people backing into spots when they could’ve just driven through in others. Is it a lack of intelligence, or are people just on auto-pilot trying to get to work that they just don’t think there is an easier way?

Nice! I should’ve thought of that.

And half of would’ve been used for the supports.

This man has no self-respect.

No, he’s just a salesman who has something to sell and he is working hard to sell it. “Humanity will die out unless you buy my product!”
He also has competition so he needs to stay relevant, which is why he makes these grand statements that get media attention.

It would be useful if you gave us one or the other for inspiration.
If the uniqueness of your name is the problem, go with a common surname then.
Gretchen Brown Olga Smith Meredith Jones
Or pick a common surname that sounds similar to your current surname, or starts with the same letter?
Does your surname have a meaning? If so, use that as inspiration?
Use the same surname of someone you admire?
Ask your friends for inspiration, or test names with them and see what they think.

All of those things are already being done by the wealthy, they don’t need AI for that.
Why is Elon representing the US and not Trump?

If all they are asking for is an age, just put in ‘69’ and be done with it.
Proving your age is a different story. I’m not holding up my driver’s license during an OS install.

I bet you “he has the best teeth in the world”, and “his dentists have never seen better teeth”. 🙄
I’m not saying changes aren’t coming, if they can’t make a profit off it then they’ll need to adapt or die. So it will either get more expensive or more efficient, but I don’t believe the bubble will burst and there will suddenly be a fire sale on cheap data centres or their hardware.
