How do the full-strength Clippers lose that after going into the 4th Q up 11??

They’d be worse in the short term if you’re replacing Chet with him. Wemby’s shooting needs to get substantially better—and even in France his percentages weren’t amazing
Because he likes it here and the Jazz have the 2nd most assets in the league which they can use to become better quickly. Obviously it’s not a super attractive destination for most NBA players but it’s not like we’re the Bulls who suck and don’t have assets to make moves
His maximum contract will still be good value, it’s not gonna be the same type of salary as someone like Jaylen Brown
FYI y’all the quote in the title seems to be about the team underperforming, not Siakam shooting the extra shot.
I do kinda hate how stuff like this has the same term as someone physically forcing themself onto someone else. It’s all bad but one is sooo much worse
John Hollinger lookin real smart rn
Oh wow, I just looked and didn’t realize they were 2-12. Didn’t expect them to be that bad–though at least their point differential isn’t quite as bad as their record would suggest
If this was year 4+ of Wemby sure, but he’s not gonna immediately be the best defender in the league during his rookie season
Does Trey Burke count? Was the 9th pick in 2013, and has a whopping 50.0% career true shooting with averages of 9.5/2/3. Had a couple half-respectable seasons off the bench from 2017-2021, but is out of the league now.
As a Jazz fan the other one that comes to mind is Enes Kanter/Freedom who was the 3rd pick in 2011, but I’m not sure how “sneaky” of a bust he is.
The way he anticipated that steal shows how good his defensive instincts are. DPoY #4 please
