1 year agoAmari Rodgers was the 85th pick in 2021 to a Packers team desperate for young secondary receiver help, I presume they gave him an extended chance in camp/practices to at least be a rotational player, never got there and is now out of the league. Rodgers even gave a couple of veiled “this guy sucks” quotes during his stint and AR definitely wouldn’t do that if he wasn’t lazy and/or obviously quite bad.
This will very likely be the 4th year in a row where Allen throws for 4200+ and 35TD+ while adding 6-12TD’s on the ground. Go over to the Bills sub and half of them have a massive silver spoon in their mouth complaining about Josh with the turnovers and “inconsistency”. He’s probably one of the very select few most physically talent players in the league regardless of position, and if you can’t figure out a way to win with that and the above production, you probably have to look at the staff. McDeez and co. probably haven’t been “bad” relative to the league but they clearly aren’t a good fit to maximize Josh into winning. I would hire Ben Johnson Bobby Slowik or Bienemy and draft OL, maybe sign a ring chasing Mike Evans.
But the whole JA is part of the problem chatter that gets thrown around is simply wild to me watching the games. The offense devolves into having him be Superman and that’s where the turnovers have come in, Joe Brady improved everything it seems but he needs a solidified system that creates easy looks with the backyard Clark Kent plays being a strong back pocket option. A few plays go the other way for the Bills and Josh is an easy MVP front runner even with the int count.
