There isn’t a single piece of software that I use that makes me think I should upgrade my 5600. Not a single game fully utilizes it (on 1440p res)
Older hardware is fine.

Older hardware is fine.
But wouldn’t you want to prevent that from happening ?
Kde is so bloat there’s no chance gamers with optimization in mind will choose it.
I’m divided on this one. I think testing is ultimately wrong but I would also like for a way that hr can determine my company won’t hire a coke head.
What are your thoughts on this and what would you propose instead?
Here in Alberta if you work in oil, they’ll pay for your hour(s) driving to the site and back.
(Not saying those jobs have fair wages or oil execs divide it fairly or anything of that substance)
I know a hardware guy that lives on a farm and uses raspberry pi for his garden hoses.
Someone down voted you but you’re right. I don’t have any insights data because I set some privacy settings to not track.
Wait. How do you see this data ?
I have very low faith because the people in power with lots of money probably own several properties and use them for either current monetary gain through rent, or retirement funds when they sell.
Can you expand on why? I’m not very well versed on Android OS or their firmware.
I fail to see how that’s a me problem
I’m an anime person but let’s face it. People only post anime when it’s boobs or NSFW material. I got in an argument with someone over not wanting to see obvious NSFW on Lemmy when it wasn’t tagged and his argument was “they’re in a swimsuit” which btw is not sfw by any means.
I’d love an anime filter tag
Id love life if I could work 4 or 3 days a week. I’m mostly productive for 3 days anyway
Won’t ever be because we’re in the stage where everything is marketed as much as possible.it would take a massive cultural and political shift to change that.
We have to work at the office (software) meanwhile non tech people are working from home fully. Some aren’t even in the same city at all. Fascinating.
Not everyone is a gamer.
This is the way to go. What’s crazy is your productivity and efficiency is probably the same or better since you can have a softer reset with the weekend.
I dread the day my manager calls me in to talk about the flex time Friday
I know you guys are technical and smart. Can you explain to me how secure https is in terms of privacy. I heard that isps can track which domain you’re hitting but not the exact endpoint, is this true ? Where can I read more about this sort of thing?
I mean… is that what you want ?
