I’m not gonna lie: I’m genuinely desensitized to it at this point. My reaction is mostly along the lines of “huh, glad it’s not near me”. I know that’s not good.

And I’m also pretty sure you’re not supposed to treat it - or anything, really - that dogmatically. The real world, and humans, and social groups, and humanity, and geopolitics, and global commerce, is not that simple. Trying to boil it down to “how does this compare to Das Kapital” is reductive in the extreme, and is going to be counterproductive in pretty much all respects.

I also hope neither of them are disappeared to El Salvador, but I’m worried that AOC is gonna get the Navalny treatment sooner or later. That’s not to say I think she should stop.
