May not be what you are looking for, but the A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk is the best, coolest, most unique and high end digital watch ever. Digital, as in displaying the time with digits, rather than in an analog way with hands on a dial. Not so easy, when you think about it, that the watch beats several times a second, but you want to digit displays to stay still for 1, 10 or 60 minutes and then jump precisely to the next number. It’s probably not the “feature” you want, but very cool if you read about how it works.
If you want to drool over a high end feature, the Zeitwerk has a minute repeater version, so you press a button and it plays you a tune to tell you the time. Pretty cool, and all without electronics!
We are freaking nerds here, but I get it that you were asking for high end electronic digital watches. I don’t really know much about those, but I always thought the form factor of the Omega X-33 was really cool.
As a student, I can hardly see myself spending much more than $1k any time soon, so my realistic grails are Hamilton Khaki, Field Auto 38mm and Junghans Max Bill manual no-date with Arabics. The Junghans particularly feels like a luxury, because I don’t mind spending more on durable things, but the Max Bill is quite fragile compared to other watches (mainly, the crystal scratches very easily).
Beyond that, I’ve had my eyes on a few watches, like some Aqua Terra and Grand Seiko models, but I’ve never handled them IRL and I don’t know whether they would be the right size for me. Especially thickness can be a deal breaker, so I’ll have to see, but those are many years away from me anyways.
