They were a publisher, not a game studio. They will not be able to work as if nothing changed because they will not have the same contracts to work with.

The workers at the game studios that Annapurna works with, seeing as how they are a publisher not a developer.
Right, but they are rich, they can afford expensive.
They don’t make the games though.
I mean, I’m not sure how well this particular case will prove that point. They are a publisher and they’ve (at least so far) insisted that they will rehire and honour existing contracts. I’m not an expert in the field but I don’t see this hugely impacting any upcoming games’ quality.
It will spare them a lot longer than it will the poor, though.
What have they developed?
Annapurna is just a publisher, no?
You cannot “gotcha” Trump or the MAGA crowd.
The trailer for the Trump biopic coming out soon has a line that explains a lot. “No matter what happens, claim victory.” (I may be paraphrasing)
Trump obviously took those words to heart, because it is something he lives by. It may actually be the only thing he really believes in.
Trump in all likelihood has known people laugh at him for decades. This isn’t news to him. This is the same strategy he’s always had. No matter what, claim victory. Reality isn’t important. He will keep saying he won, always, no matter what happens.
That’s a strange point, imho. We disagree on what own means. You being bad with your physical media doesn’t mean you didn’t more truthfully own it. We will have to agree to disagree, have a nice day.
I’m not betting on Steam disappearing in the next ten years. I probably wouldn’t even bet that they’ll disappear in my lifetime. But, they could, anything could happen, and then you don’t have that library anymore. Physical is the only way to truly own.
Holy shit that’s a real thing that an official government account posted. What the fuck is this timeline.
It’s kinda rich to plug Steam, where you also don’t own your games.
I’m sure that kind of discourse will persuade them not to use AI.
The Lemmy user base is so out of touch with the average consumer.
I’ve got the digital version of scythe but haven’t gotten around to trying it.
No bother at all! They are all different dragons with wonderful original art, but the cards don’t have trivia. There is a “dragons facts sheet” thing that’s included just as flavour.
Might not be the best person to answer the latter, as my partner and I played an absolute crap ton of Wingspan just the two of us and thought it played fine enough, even without the Asia expansion.
I like Wyrmspan because it shakes up the mechanics, but to be perfectly honest I just love dragons more than birds so the art alone practically sold me on it lol
Are men worse off, or are women better off in comparison?
