1 year agoHere in northern europe we have a lot of non neautral situation but few non neutral devices are sold…at least in the smart space
So many are using leds which are way below the requirement min load for non-neutral dimmers. As soon as you need bypass and have to deal with the flicker/flimmer consequences which non-neutral devices are more sucepteble of.
Most installers install neutral, either pulling new wire or installing the devices in the roof socket and using wireless buttons instead.
But most light dimmer installations are done as part of renovation so pulling a new cable is done in most cases anyway.
Don’t have a solution for you. Might be quite big and bulky with two relays in it where 99% of people might not need such devices.
There are some products out there for switching live+neutral at the same time, for example norway requires it in areas where there is risk of water, like bathrooms and kitchen (close to the sink) because some part of norway have two off phase live wires instead of live+neutral.
I have never seen plugs, but I’ve seen puck dimmers and relays certified for switching neutral+live in norwegan wet areas. If you want to build on such a puck.
