I know I talked smack about Tudor, but you would probably really like the bracelet on the Pelagos. I am a bigger guy also, and it felt so amazing to wear. You would notice the difference in how comfortable it is to not have the watch against your hand.
Hard disagree. Saying that Omega is another name for Swatch is like saying a 2023 Porsche 911 is a rebadge of a 1998 Ford Escort. The model range of Seiko comes much closer to the lower end of Grand Seiko than any Swatch model comes to within 1000 miles of Omega.

Wow, talk about a hot take! I vehemently disagree. There’s no way to see what time it is at night otherwise. Yeah you can just look at your phone, but you can do that during the day also, so then why bother wearing a watch at all if that’s what you’re going to do? I’ll say that lume indeed would look tacky on a dress watch, but on an everyday more sporty watch, no lume or bad lume is an issue for me.
Talk about a hot take! I like it. I don’t agree, necessarily, but I like that you had the forum to express this. It’s true though, original designs are held up to have intrinsic value simply because they were “the first”. That alone doesn’t mean it’s inherently better.

Same, though for me personally, the absolute minimum dealbreaker for any watch (excluding something like a G-Shock) is that it needs a sapphire crystal. I am tough on my watches, and a non-sapphire will get scratched up (or worse) very quickly.
I just can’t unsee that it’s just an Explorer I with massive minute numerals that mismatch the hour numerals from the Explorer. You do you.
