63·2 days agoI think you’re right that AI music can be good, not great, but often good or comparable to what’s already available.
I think another factor is that a lot of mainstream musicians are forced to follow an algorithm already by the major music labels that tell artists what to create, limiting their creativity and ability to create great music at a higher risk to the label.
The algorithmic nature to how most mainstream music is created is problematic in itself, and similar to the controversy of AI music itself.
