How about taxing vacant homes and apartments held by corporations?

CPC should seriously start distancing themselves from the Reform Party nutjobs.
Send them to Bernier or let them rebuild their own christian nationalist cesspit. I know all of CPC isn’t on board with the remigration enthusiasts or joining USA. They need some house cleaning. Starting with that whining cowboy with no cattle and all slogans.

Shut down diploma mills and review the student visa pipeline as well.

Racism is a factor but conversations on this topic used to be immediately shut down as racism by default all the time. Not the case as often now.

It’s not their fault. They got that “TDS virus” from Auntie Fa.

This is no better than cigarette, alcohol or gambling industries pushing their ads and propaganda.
A tiny portion of manufacturing will always need O&G but we can move away from internal combustion engine for daily commute. Electric vehicles are clearly the way forward despite how awesome hellcat might be. CNRL, Enbridge or ConocoPhillips ceo don’t have to get their 15th mansion and 3rd private jet for Canada to be a prosperous nation.

Government running lotteries and using the money for something good for the masses is so much better than letting bookies run their businesses.
Gambling has an appeal to some people. Others never feel the need to buy a ticket. Both are equally respected, valid members of society.
Religious folks often have an objection to gambling for dogmatic reasons. They don’t get to ban the fun for everyone else just because they feel they have all the divine solutions to humanity’s problems. Regulate the crap out of it though.

Our neighbours kicked their president in the nuts. It’s a beautiful day! Lol.
Nothing islamophobic about drawing cartoons of Mohammad. Why do you support blasphemy laws?
Those “islamic takeover of the west” assholes are just as repulsive to me.
Muslim women getting targeted infuriates me as much as any normal person.
What’s lost in political correctness sometimes is fundamentalists who make life difficult for muslim women who don’t want to wear the clerical mandated uniform.
The call to prayer thing isn’t a big concern. Muslim conservatives keep trying to get permission to do the call to prayer and people push back against it. You often get accused of racism if you’re against it.
They’re allowed to do it for themselves in mosque but they insist on doing it public and force everyone to listen to it whether they like it or not.
I wasn’t dunking on muslims nor suggesting muslims can’t democracy.
Iran refuses to bow and they are being punished for it.
Even though they complied with the international agreements, they still got attacked. I also don’t like the stupid fkn clerics…
I’m not holding Christianity above any others I’m well aware of all the crap in Judeo-Christian traditions as well.
Habit, miters, kippah, Anabaptist traditions are all respected then what’s the issue with Somalis or Sikhs wearing their turbans?.
I’m also aware of women that got assaulted or killed by religious fundamentalists for not covering up properly. I’m not pushing racist ideas. There’s still gotta be room to air out religious laundry without being a racist bigot.
He’s mentioned in the post. I replied.
Do you always come to defend multimillionaire politicians?
How do you feel about Doug Ford?
Same.
You gotta read into religious scriptures and their weird rituals. Nothing racist, it’s a thing in every religion, culture, ethnicity… not limited to any race.
Women were forced to go live away in a segregated spot during menstruation and it’s still happening in some places today.
It’s possible to not be racist and still highlight or mock the absurdity of those things
You can support blasphemy laws all you want but don’t expect me to respect your decision.
These weren’t my only reasons. These were just the fringe ones

Blasphemy isn’t Islamophobia.
Mohammad cartoons or GTFO.
I think it’ll be easier to go after corporate landlords than individuals who got their life savings tied into 1 or 2 houses. Far more of those homeowners will support the policy if they’re assured they aren’t being targeted for having a networth of 6 or 7 figures.
I know for a fact that corporations are sitting on empty properties instead of lowering rents. Governments at all levels are letting it happen when homelessness is at the highest we’ve seen in our lives.
The worst thing will be to go after random middle class landlords. They aren’t the ones causing most harm, if any. But they do vote and will vote against getting treated the same as corporate landlords.
