Year 2 LeBron - he probably wasn’t a “better” player back then, but the raw athleticism was amazing to watch. He was just everywhere all the time, with basically no injury/minute risks at all. The league is extremely talented right now, and still none of the young guys today really compare to what young LeBron was.

When you factor in cost/ability to acquire I could see saying that, but pure talent wise a lot of teams are playing a lesser version of him already where he’s a clear upgrade. Bucks/Beasley, Kings/Monk, Mavs/THJ, Cavs/Strus & LeVert, Rockets/Green, Raptors/Trent, Pelicans/Hawkins, Jazz/Clarkson, Pacers/Mathurin, and even Lakers/Reaves.

LaVine should net a good return, but is paid as a #1 while looking like a guy who is more scorer and 3rd best player on a good team. That’s the problem, no contender is trading their top guys for him, and young guys don’t make enough to match salary. Everyone here laughed at Herro as a trade asset, is LaVine really all that different of a player?

Vuc is good, but still likely doesn’t have much of a market across the league. Grizzlies make sense on paper for this year, but idk what the package would be to make it work.

DeMar is a better player than trade asset. He’s kind of like Vuc in that regard, where a lot of teams would probably love to have them, but aren’t likely to give a ton to get them.

Probably a mix of other teams fans throwing out trash offers, and you overrating what these guys’ value is

I’d take the Thunder but a couple things. It seems easily forgotten how good Ja actually is. He may do stupid stuff, SGA is better, but Ja is still a force on offense. Second, Chet isn’t a great rebounder right now either. He has been fantastic so far, but hasn’t been in the playoffs yet which is where the Grizz shortcomings have been exposed

Never thought I’d be defending Draymond but just points per game against contract Gobert makes more than Draymond does. Draymond isn’t really even that far off Tobias Harris, known as a scorer, last year.

I don’t think people realize how low the bar is for Strus & Niang to be major upgrades to the rotation. Cavs had 5 playable guys for the playoffs last year total, couldn’t have made an adjustment if they wanted to while the Knicks were pushing them around.

1. They still have Curry
2. Maybe Wiggins doesn’t sit out most of the season
3. Poole, DiVincenzo, & Moody were all terrible against LA in the playoffs. Wouldn’t take much to have improvement over that from their 6-7 guys in a series.
4. Other teams guys could get injured.
