He clearly landed on one of the assistant coaches stray sheets of paper. That’s why he slipped off. His ACL may have been strained the moment he landed, then slid on said piece of paper.

Personally have to go with Zo. I believe Zo was more athletic & had a slightly more expanded block zone on the court — contesting shots to nearly 8’ or 10’ from the basket. Mutumbo had more formidable size and equaled ferocity. Both of them being prized centers under Coach Thompson makes them more similar than different tho, and winners on & off the court.

Not sure if the consensus would ever have given Walton the honorific of “best center of all time.” Bill was way too counterculture for a lot of people to accept. For instance, when Bill got drafted he was actually out hitchhiking. But his UCLA honed skill set was top tier.

Klay Thompson is Allan Houston with better range. Mike Conley is Michael Redd more composed, IMO.
