3·6 days agoOnce again, several kinds of response.
Reasoned: Obviously, you’d abstract the swarm to something manageable, as per my second point.
Informed: A swarm of insects is defined in the SRD as having 22 hit points.
Cautious: I wouldn’t trust an LLM to track hit points better than me.
Pedantic: Tracking hit points is not part of campaign creation.
Aggrieved: You listed NPCs as one of the non-fun parts?!
Defiant: There ARE no non-fun parts!
Suspicious: There’s a lot of basic DM knowledge and experience you seem to lack for someone offering DM advice.
Accusatory: You are STILL deflecting.

31·7 days agoThere are three kinds of response to this. First, yes I bloody can, don’t insult me. Second, if it’s too complex to keep track of, it needs to be simplified. Third, none of that has anything to do with creating a campaign, you’re just trying to redirect the conversation from AI taking the fun part away.

36·8 days agoEver heard of donjon? It’s been around since 2009 and does all of that without the risk of an incorrect answer or the widespread deforestation.

261·8 days agoThere are decades of campaigns and adventures waiting to be played. I have five campaigns on my shelf, all of them good quality and fit to my tastes. And yet, I still write new campaign material because I actually like making campaigns.
Why would I give the fun part to a machine?

25·12 days agoIf that is in fact how the system in question works.
We know that’s how the system works by the fact…
We know how THIS system works - but…
They cast doubt, I point out proof, they deflect to other systems they might be right about. Sounds like they moved the goalposts to me. I don’t need to know which system it is to know it does what we can see it do.

41·12 days agoWhy would they request to retexture the stone tiles at the top to have stronger speckles? That’s not just “we turned up the contrast”, cause the rest of the image has lower contrast.

1075·12 days agoIt is worth remembering that AI replaces the ENTIRE image, even if you ask it to change only one thing. That’s why every single person in the image looks different.
Yeah, I got that. I feel like they weren’t forced so much as they complied, but maybe they did get a warning or something. I dunno. Just sucks.
You do, actually. I can never be the president, for example.
I don’t believe anything I hear. You’ve said multiple unsubstantiated things and I don’t believe any of them.
You are right. It’s been a full day since we started this conversation, and I forgot some of the details. She merely intends to use a guillotine that may or may not be hers. It’s possible that she is simply borrowing a friend’s guillotine, and I shouldn’t assume otherwise.
I’m British. You REALLY like to assume things incorrectly.
It’s not an assumption if you have evidence. She said she has one, and there is no proof she doesn’t, so the evidence is in her favour.
Yes. As I said, I have no reason to believe otherwise. Unlike you, I don’t like to make assumptions.
I have no reason to believe otherwise.
