I too had a homelab , it was used to learn , once I had learnt what I needed it got switched off and decommissioned , sold , given away .

It would be nice to have full transparency on this element from Google , perhaps publish the data that’s being shared between said apps , a weekly downloadable report would be fine to start to understand just what is being generated that needs to be anonymized, pseudonymized.

Or do you think that once a user sees that information they would then question the need to continue to use apps which collect such personalized info in the first place…

So then best way to approach this is to make a backup and then restore it. pst from outlook is easy can Google it costs nothing.

Move your email to where you want it once or many times , restore or use the pst as an archive.

In both cases you don’t need overlay products that do the same thing native clients have been doing for decades , you’re just adding another kink to the confusion train. K.i.S.S and you won’t end up in over your head 😜
