A lot of potential HOFers won’t get their jersey retired when you realize there’s way more to making it to the HOF outside of being a team lead and winning a ring.

I don’t see Horford getting his jersey retired here in Boston, but he’ll be in the Hall of Fame for his college career alone. Then you add on his longevity and a possible ring with Boston (hopefully this year) and it’s hard not to see him get in on one of the ballots.

It’s going to become the taco bell cup or mountain dew cup or something.

Just give it time, a sponsor will pervert it. Just look at the “Developmental” league.
