President-elect Donald Trump is on the verge of announcing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his next secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, according to two people close to the situation, in a move that would add to Trump’s provocative picks whose confirmation process will test the loyalty of Senate Republicans.

I assumed that people would understand that “abstainers” was here to emphasize that those who abstained from voting also brought fascism to America, as compared to Trump voters, who we all already know are guilty for bringing fascism to America, but apparently that’s too complex to parse.
The idea that they would be Trump voters instead would not improve my moral judgment of abstainers.

Only the people who voted for Trump are responsible for Trump winning.
And everyone who stood aside and said “This is fine, I’m not going to do anything to stop it.”
Inaction is not absolution, as much as some people wish it was.
