What would the trade look like if this was to happen? One of DeRozan or Lavine would land in Philly

Why are the bulls this? Lol. It’s very clear they should tear it all down and go into a rebuild. I feel like Harden could do wonders for the rockets right now

I think this would be step 1 in blowing it up. Getting Harden would probably mean getting rid of Lavine, and it’s easier for the Bulls to get out of Harden’s contract (which is expiring at the end of the year) than Lavine’s (which goes until '27). I don’t think they’d be getting Harden with the idea that he’s going to make the Bulls contenders.

The Bulls are embarrassing inept. They spent the last two years telling us important it is to have continuity and let’s run it back type of shit. 1 game into the season, there’s a player only meeting, too many isos, ball hogging, not enough 3s, and worst fucking of all they need a fucking PG (Alonzo’s been out forever, figure that shit out AKME). Fuck me!

This team needs Lonzo and isn’t getting him. Might as well do something to make the year interesting before another rebuild.

The rebuild is what would make this year interesting. As is Best case scenario for this season is that Mil let’s us a win a game instead of sweeping us in the first round. That’s the absolute best that can happen.

They also need a coach capable of knocking heads together to get buy-in to the team strategy. Donovan is repeating his mistakes from his OKC years, and if they sart slow, he might find a pink slip in his Christmas stocking like several Bulls coaches before him.

If its possible w draft capital alone. Harden brings everything lonzo brought but better, offensively. Not the same defensive presence but could make that team click once again!

If we could swap Deebo 1 for 1 for James, it’d be a great move. I don’t think that’s realistic at all though.

Why are the Bulls so reluctant to just blow it all up? They’re not going anywhere with the current construction of their team, and acquiring James Harden is not making them a contender. Just blow it up this year and tank for Flagg next year.

Because we were the worst, second worst team in the nba for like 4 seasons. We tanked and we were fucking awful at it lol

Because they haven’t been great at tanking either. Before the arrival of Lonzo and DeMar they were in the lottery and picked the following players:

      • Patrick Williams
      • Coby White
      • Wendell Carter Jr

Out of the three, the best is probably WCJ and he’s not even on the team anymore. Y’all just can’t assume that every rebuild is like OKC or the Spurs. It just doesn’t happen. Sometimes you end up like the Rockets

Harden is FA after this season. Why would the Bulls do this? The Bulls have excellent trade pieces. Derozan could be the last piece for so many contenders; Lavine is locked up and could help teams that are already good or good-ish (Knicks, lakers, etc); Vucevic is on a very fair deal and there’s 2 additional years of control at that fair price; Caruso is a steal at $9M this year and next; Patrick Williams could be a deadline deal; Ayo could be helpful to shore up depth on a playoff team and is affordable. 7-8 months of pouty Harden… why would anyone do that? The Bulls front office can be kinda dumb, but it’s not dumb in this particular way.

The Bulls will instead allow the value of its current trade assets to deteriorate until its too late to cash in on blowing it up. In fact, they won’t blow it up, they’ll watch it wither and die and decry the bad luck of their own making.

The Bulls will not trade for James Harden.

fucking how. Because last i heard, Morey wants a haul and the Bulls FO would have brain rot if they gave up even a single pick. If they trade anyone on this roster, it’s to blow it up and prepare for the future.

If we were to trade for Harden I feel like Morey’s asking price would be too high. He’s not worth trading Lavine plus multiple picks away for or even just Lavine tbh cause the point would be to bring him in to play with him. As much as I like Demar, he should be the one that goes.

I want to see the Bulls ride it out for a month or so before they make a trade. They looked bad in game 1 but that’s still just 1 game. I’m not saying they are going to bounce back but I’ll hold my criticism for atleast 10 games.
