    There was definitely some force applied by the offensive player with the off arm, but I’m not surprised the refs called this a flopping tech given the Secondary Theatrical Exaggerated Movement criteria, which this seems to meet all of since the Trent Jr. stumbles backwards while doing a windmill.

    As to why the refs aren’t calling this tech more, I don’t know. There is a lot of uncalled flopping.

      He didn’t fall to the ground so the arms had done its job of balancing.

      If there was an exaggeration, it would be how hard he leaned off balance after contact. The arm movement is legitimate if he stayed on his feet as a result imho.

    It actually looked like he took that shoulder while a little off balance while going fast to the left. That’s definitely not an egregious flop if that’s what you believe it is, at least compared to many

    That’s what makes this a goofy point of emphasis (that they always claim they are making every few seasons or so for the last 10 years), because now we’re going to be see 50/50 looking plays like this, until the refs just forget about it all together in 4 months
