The Bulls and DeRozan have discussed an extension, but the sides remain apart on years and salary, and the 34-year-old DeRozan wants to see where the team goes before committing to a return.

I have no sources, but I can reliably report that Chicago has zero interest in bringing back DDR.

There is honestly zero reason to hold on to him.

But this might just be a situation where he has zero market and the Bulls think, fuck it, might as well retain one recognizable guy who we can’t get much for while we tear everything else down.

    Poor DeRo.

He was so close to signing with the Lakers, but someone on the Lakers decided that they should sign Russ instead. Russ flamed out and DeRo posted 28/4/5 p/r/a.

An absolute travesty. Now he gets to deal with this mess. People talking down about DeRozan just don’t know.

The Bulls have the opportunity to not have not the bleakest future in the NBA anymore if they just blow it up completely and trade everyone. This would be a pretty big fuck up.

The source for the “they want to keep DeRozan” thing is from October. If they’ve finally decided to commit to the rebuild after watching this team play for a few weeks, then it doesn’t mean anything
