Tier 1: Jokic

Tier 2: Steph/Embiid

Tier 3: Luka/Giannis/Tatum

Tier 4: Booker/SGA/LeBron/KD

Tier 5: Ant/Hali/AD/Maxey/Butler

The full top 50 is here

What do ya’ll think? Personally I think Maxey in the top 15 is a huuuge overreaction to a 10 games stretch. Most didn’t even have him top 40 in the offseason.

      Facts.

Until embiid proves himself in the playoffs he’s neo Karl malone.

And, given the choice, I’d take malone if he wasn’t a literal pedophile

Maxey is ranked ahead of Dame and Donovan Mitchell for a 10 game sample where he played at the level those two have played at for years.

Dame’s 33 and he looks like he might be washed so I can buy that but Mitchell’s off to a fantastic start to the season. He’s played just as well as Maxey.

Where tf is Fox lol. Good on Maxey, but yea how tf is he ahead of these guys? And Giannis is in tier 1 or 2, easily over Embiid.

Lauri Markannen has to be one of the most underrated players in the league. He’s been putting up basically 25/10 on 50/40/90 ever since the start of last season and mfs are putting him on the same tier as a rookie?

I don’t hate him having Giannis 5th, but to have him on a whole seperate tier is just wrong.

I really don’t hate his top 10 though. I’d have Luka and Giannis in front of embiid still but you can definitely argue it if you’d like.

I used to like KOC but bro is still on his I’m an “analyst” stubbornness while becoming a take guy. He would not concede to Vernon that KAT shouldn’t be traded even though they’re winning and the Ringer as a whole is pushing this narrative that KAT is some malcontent like Harden.

Who blows up a team on a roll and in a groove to gamble on fit.

I vote we call this is called the Nate Silver Phenomenon. Where a former stats guy completely abandons stats to make takes for clicks

Move Giannis up and Embiid down Maxey is also a little high and AD is a little low

KOC is not a “serious” analyst. That’s not an insult. It’s just clear that he either plants his flag and won’t move, or else everything is super “prisoner of the moment” if he doesn’t already have an established take. He’s a piece in the basketball take-o-sphere, which is fine, but I don’t think he’d ever admit that.
