Joel Embiid was a -25 tonight in a game the Sixers lose by 10.

It’s just the 6th time in 406

NBA games he’s been a -25 or worse.

Three of the six?

Against Boston.

Joel Embiid finished tonight’s game against the Celtics with 20/9/7 on 8-16 shooting (0-2 3PT), 2 turnovers, and a game low -25.

37-year-old Alfred Horford finished the game with 14/9/3 on 5-9 shooting (4/8 3PT), 5 blocks, and a +14.

I think PHI and Embiid specifically are having trouble closing out games. I realize they’ve had 3 games in 4 nights but there are sequences where they seem to be taking possessions off on both sides of the court. Conditioning is one thing but watching Embiid throw up that no look layup on Tuesday was painful. They’re looking for Harris all game but Maxey had two shots in the half until well into the 4th quarter. Gotta set him up more when he’s looking that energetic even against strong defensive teams.

He was bad, but playing him with Beverly and Morris was a big reason for the -25. Those two did not even look like NBA players

Philly legit seem to play better against Boston specifically with him on the bench lol

We saw it tonight and also when they won game 1 without him in the playoffs

Tbh, I’m happy to see us win this game and all the Embiid/Horford banter lol.

But Sixers did just play 3 games in 4 nights… and tonight was the back to back game.

They’re bound to be tired. Especially with the Pacers running them around last game.

Celts were playing away and missing their #2 and #3 scorers (about 43 ppg there) and primary rim protector.

You know the first two times you posted this it didn’t sink in, but this third time really sealed it…

Sixer fans gonna sacrifice Gritty to make sure the team is on the opposite playoff bracket from Boston.

Sixers can look like the best team in the league except whenever they play the Celtics lol. Its rare to see a quality team get owned by one opponent for so long

And Maxey was a +9. The torch has been passed. The Sixers are now Maxey’s team. Embiid stans are just too all up in their feelings to admit it.

76ers should sign Al Horford on a minimum so that Embiid doesn’t have to play against him
