Want to buy a car on Amazon? Well, now you might get your chance. The e-commerce giant will launch vehicle sales in the U.S. next year and allow local car dealers to sell directly to customers on its site.

We have to get my daughter a notebook computer that runs Windows or Mac OS for her online school she’s starting next semester. Obviously we’re not going to spend the money on a Mac and she doesn’t need anything very powerful because it’s going to be mostly web browsing and Zoom meetings. There are a lot of sub-$300 notebooks on Amazon, and some of them are from companies like Acer and Dell, but there are a shit ton of brands I have never heard of- Excebook, CHUWI, SGIN… some don’t even say the brand. It’s crazy.

Chuwi is one I have actually come across IRL! Can’t vouch either way for it but anecdotally the owner seemed happy

It was just a standard Amazon search for sub-$300 Windows notebooks. I’m sure Linux will install on it no problem. How long the hardware lasts is another matter. And I’m guessing it’s all hardwired.

But the shareholders said otherwise, they expect to make billions! Cause they are trying to maximize their profits. But I agree with you.

    Hmm… how will a return work? 🤔

Put it the car back in a box and drop it at the nearest dropoff store or UPS/FedEx? 🤣

Will there be a 30% restocking fee?

What if the car just doesn’t work after delivery? Missing parts?

Will there now also be a Amazon Warehouse Deals for used cars?
