Of players with at least 125 career starts, Killian Hayes has the lowest WS in NBA history at -0.6. He also has the 6th worst TS% of all time (min 125 starts)

45.5% career TS%

Why does Ivey come off the bench? Why does Killian still have a job?

I don’t watch Pistons games but what’s absolutely hilarious is that there’s an active starter with a lower WS in fewer games (-1.1WS in 88 games, all games started) whos also on the Pistons. Think his name was Cade Cunningham or something idk

He is a decent to good Euroleague player and should’ve stayed in europe from a sports perspective, but i assume money and the opportunity were too good to pass up.

Cherry-picking stuff, it’s a cumulative stat and doesn’t say anything about him starting right now. Cade has MUCH worse WS at -1.1.

I think Killian should’ve been picked lower as Euro-stash pick instead of starting that early. He’s finally showing that he is an NBA player. He’s only slightly worse than Ivey - the issue is playmaking not defense, Ivey is actually a better defender.

I like his starts solely because he’s actually doing decent in points based fantasy. I’ve heard too many complaints bout his actual on court offense though.

If Win Share is the stat you’re going with he’s 5th on the Pistons this year and ahead of Ivey.

I’m never selling my Killian stock, send him to us, we need a poor shooter who plays defense instead of just mediocre shooters who don’t play defense as rotation players instead

I read an article recently from The Athletic and there was a question regarding Hayes vs Ivey and it seemed to basically come down to culture building and Ivey’s development. Monty is trying to establish a culture of defense and rebounding vs offense which Hayes is more fitting to than Ivey. Monty also believes that Ivey hasn’t earned his minutes over Hayes as he struggles with positioning, defense, turnovers, etc (all normal young guard things to struggle with). As far as Hayes vs anyone else, the situation right now may be just do to injuries and I wouldn’t be surprised if the lineup changes again once Alec comes up to speed and Bojan recovers from his injury.
