Many teams are currently in their window (Bucks, Celtics, Suns, Sixers, Nuggets, etc). Who are the teams that are still 2-3 years away, but will be championship juggernauts for years to come?
Pacers are one star-player trade away from being perennial contenders, and that’s a fact. They also need some defensive players too, but if they add a star who can score and lock down other star players they will be unstoppable. Even right now their potential is on full display, they just need that last piece
Grizzlies, Rockets, Timberwolves, Dallas
I don’t see the Rockets
If their picks work out then they have to pay them. Sengun, Green, Jabari, Thompson, KPJ looking for money? It works now that they improved bc Brooks and FVV can get paid while these guys are rookie scaled.
But once they have to pay them market value, they won’t be able to supppment veterans. While some look good, none are game changing.
Wolves are an example of the opposite. KAT zis multiple time all star, Gobert DPOY, Ant sky is the limit. They’re somewhat limited in assets short term because of Gobert trade but it’s almost like a piece away.
KPJ? Tell me you don’t watch basketball or have a CLUE about the rockets lol
yep exposed lol
Dallas bruh ?? They always seem to be in Win Now mode and havent even given Luka a decent center. Bruv they will fall hard if Luka leaves them.
The rockets? 🤣
Josh Giddey
Lmaoooooo even if that shit is true our future is 10x brighter than yours 🤣
You forgot no one will want to stay and live in okc. Just like harden and Durant got out of there asap, so will all the players you have now. The thunder won’t sniff a title in your lifetime little guy
Harden was traded and Durant re-signed and left after playing 9 seasons. Definitely ASAP. What are you talking about?
ASAP? KD played for us for a decade 🤣
Should’ve known the bloke that resorted to going through my profile would have nothing of substance to say…
Oh god this is so boring. Obvs you more talent than us, but the idea that the Rox can be a contender stating from 3 years from now is hardly ludicrous.
Dallas and rockets got work to do
Not all teams keep developing linearly.
So you look at the breakouts from last year and this year (so far) I would pick one, but definitely not all of them.
Maybe you look at OKC as the vanguard moving forward.
It seems like a ton of people are buying wemby stock, I haven’t seen enough of him yet. Perhaps in 3 years they make one or two moves and are knocking on the door.
Maybe the magic find a way to make a consistent(ly good) offence.
Maybe it’s still the Celtics.
a Fox-Murray led kings sounds like the beginnings of an absolute monster parlay. (I wouldn’t put my house on it).
If Utah gets this Flagg kid maybe it times up with their other good players terming into Quality. Kessler and Markenan.
I think it’s quite easy to frame most teams 3 years out too much guess work.
Houston could make a case with few adjustments. Sengun will become a problem in a few years.
I want to say Portland because of what we’re trying to do right now, but 2-3 years might not be long enough for our timeline, and also Portland usually finds a way to come up a bit short no matter what.
Heat, but Bam, Herro, JJJ, Jovic, Robinson starting line up
Jaren Jackson Jr signing for the heat?
Who? I’m talking about rookie of the year Jaime Jaquez Jr.
Oh, is that his nickname? I don’t think two players can be called JJJ and Jaren Jackson Jr had it first sorry.
Cavs (if they keep Spida), Grizzlies, and Knicks
Washington Wizards.
Celtics and OKC for sure
Celtics, Suns but Celtics need to clutch up in the last few quarters did not like what happened with Celtics and charlotte
Kings, Hornets, and Spurs.
Ant is him. I think we’ll be serious Contenders in 2-3 years.
Why not this year?
Okc. I think the spurs will be back in championship contention in 3 years
The Celtics are juggernaut contenders right now.
OKC is next
Kings are one piece away from being it.
Pelicans were supposed to be it by now
Miami Heat has a new core developing of players in their early to mid twenties of Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo and Jaime Jaquez Jr. Add in Haywood Highsmith and Orlando Robinson as solid role players and Nikola Jovic as a wild card (he might be a superstar in the making so who knows - he’s currently a PG that the Heat want to turn into a PF).
I want them to win with Jimmy so bad though.
