The biggest problem with NBA (and in this case Embiid as one of the biggest beneficiary) is that it awards players for initiating hard bully contact and not allowing defenders to do anything about it. Im talking Giannis and Embiid first and foremost. Jokić is 2 levels above these guys as his low post technique very rarely involves shoulder to the chest. On the other hand, thats bread and butter for both Embiid and Giannis. Pound your way to the basket with less skill and expect the defenders to…move aside?! NBA needs to stop allowing such mindless brute force plays as it did with the pump fake + jump into the body on purpose.
