I don’t think Maxey has ever asked for a fan to be rejected from the arena for calling him names.

11 failed flop attempts. Smh, he’s losing his touch…
Yeah he’s lucky Chris didn’t beat his ass.
Honestly I don’t mind no-calls. What I can’t stand are phantom calls. Meaning flags for shit that simply did not happen. Carter got called for a facemask on a running back a few weeks back against the Rams. It looked like he got the mask by the way the guy’s head turned but the replay showed he clearly grabbed his chest.
Which means the ref just saw that it looked like a facemask and just threw the flag. If the ref doesn’t see the foul he shouldn’t throw the flag.
This guy has no fucking clue what he’s talking about. Joel does not flop he plays the game the way he has to. When he first got in the league he tried to punish little guys in the post and all it led to were offensive fouls and flagrants.
I can always tell who actually watches basketball when they say shit like that.
All I know is that Joel Embiid will not get the credit he deserves for his defense when it’s all said and done. As usual.
A lot happened, but I actually have no clue what happened in the Hawks series and why he never was the same after that. Before that series (and I mean that regular season AND the series before against Brooklyn or Washington or some team like that) he was a top five defender who was good for 16/8/8. He was a bad free throw shooter but not an atrocious one. He was also never afraid to go to the line or attack the rim.
Since? I honestly don’t know.
Well if he flops then we’ll get a tech for it. He didn’t get any so…🤷🏿♂️
He’s treated worse on this sub than Watson is on r/NFL. He’s literally treated worse than an accused sexual assaulter.
I watched the game and didn’t see him flailing or crying for fouls. He was just attacking the basket. Also the refs don’t call fouls based on how many they called previously, a foul is a foul.
Teams with good defenses or at least a big that can occasionally body up Joel have to wondering what these posts are talking about lol. The Celtics definitely do not have to concede 20 free throws a game to him to have a chance at winning.
Not sure what you want the NBA to do about a team intentionally fouling players to try and extend the game and maybe send it to OT.
As soon as I saw the Thunder send him to the line with intentional fouls several times with under a minute left I knew this post was being constructed.
This sub cannot help themselves, lol. Sometimes they cannot even wait for something to happen the haters just post a random “Embiid haters gather here” post.
r/NFL doesn’t even hate Watson this much.
FTC but abolish this stupid ass rule. Let him hang on the rim as long as he wants, it hurts no one.
This sub bitches about so many things honestly. Most announcers are fine and not worth nearly the amount of discussion this sub gives them. The announcers people say are way too homerish actually aren’t.
I said a few weeks ago that if Jalen Hurts and the Eagles came out of this gauntlet part of their schedule with statement wins against top teams/QBs then he would win the MVP.
So far he’s beaten Tua and the Dolphins, Dakota and the Cowboys, and Mahomes and the Chiefs. He and the Eagles have Allen and the Bills next, then San Fran, then Dallas again before rounding out in Seattle.
I know passing numbers for QBs are down, and Hurts’ are down especially, but if he wins two or even three of those games and the Eagles have the best record in the league, with his total TD count, it’ll be hard to give the award to anyone else. Not to mention he has Giants, Cardinals, Giants at the end of the year to pad the stats if need be.
I know I’m biased, but he is currently the favorite to win MVP despite lower passing numbers than most, and he was runner up last year (and the favorite before he got hurt), despite also not having crazy high passing stats. McCaffrey will win OPOY, but MVP is and honestly should be a QB award.
At this point I’m starting to think Kendrick Perkins’ nickname must be “the media.”
I hate that I have to defend Brian Johnson from other Eagles fans, especially because I don’t think he’s been incredible or anything this year but…
Holy shit some of you guys have no perspective! The Eagles, coming into this game, were scoring 28 PPG, good for third in the league. I don’t like seeing the QB draws getting stuffed at the line either but you know what I do like seeing? When it worked on third down, or how about when it worked on second and goal? That was pretty cool right?
We were getting our asses kicked and outschemed in the first half by Spags. So you know what Brian did? Tried other shit. Yeah the WR screens did not work, but the middle screens to Swift were very effective. Hurts has the freedom to check at the line, he probably checked into some QB draws, he also checked into that deep pass to Smith (confirmed by Coach Sirianni) that set up the GW TD.
The best job by a coordinator this game was easily Sean Desai tightening up the gameplan and shutting down the Chiefs in the second half (aided by clutch defensive plays and drops by Chiefs WRs), but Johnson deserves some credit for being able to find just enough to get 14 points in the second half and help win the game. Sometimes you have to try other shit when things aren’t working, and sometimes that shit also doesn’t work. But I’d rather try something else than keep doing the stuff that got us seven first half points.
Without Joel, and already down Oubre, he basically had to chuck every semi-open three he could to try to keep this game close. He didn’t hit many lol. The entire team’s strategy to start was to go small (since we can’t go big) and take as many threes as possible (while not being able to generate open looks) and hope some go in so this can be competitive. They didn’t and it wasn’t.
