I understand why Kobe gets that rep, I respect his game, but I don’t know why MJ is known as a “killer” when LeBron isn’t. MJ has 0 career ejections, 52 career techs, and 2 career flagrants. Meanwhile, LeBron as 2 career ejections, 90 career techs, and 8 career flagrants. He had a career high of 10 techs in one season, whereas MJ at his best only had 5. LeBron is much more dangerous on the court than MJ ever was, and is more likely to bite when provoked. MJ just barked, and had to recruit guys like Rodman to do his biting for him. LeBron did his own biting when pushed far enough, which is rare since he’s a scarier dog anyways.

Kobe was a true killer though. Bro was out for blood every night. He has 7 career ejections, 196 techs, and 9 flagrants.

Because the old heads love to hate on newer talent, which isn’t even new anymore. Lebron and Jordan are neck and neck for goat based off stats (you’re lying to yourself if longevity means nothing to you.) Kobe isn’t even in the conversation.

Lebron James has scored 5,000 more points than Jordan. Don’t even look at the triple-double Stat because it may shatter your machinations about Jordan.

The overall basketball player lebron James has been is definitely comparable to Jordan.

Yeah, Jordan won it all 7/7 times, but why didn’t he make it there 10 times? Is that body of work discluded? It shouldn’t be. Lebron carried trash teams to the finals while Jordan was always surrounded by an elite group. That 2016 group included him and Kyrie vs steph, klay, and igodaula. The other cavs teams he carried there were even worse. It’s crazy he did it with just himself and AD in a league that warranted three superstars.

Lebron is absolutely a “killer” just without the rape allegations of kobe.

It’s because Lebron isn’t a complete asshole to everyone around him, and according to some people (people I’d never want to be around myself) that’s a sign of weakness.

because those guys looked to score every time first, so as a defender now you’re on your heels every time

LeBron can have 20 straight possessions where he makes an impact on the game, but he might take 2 shots in that time, get 4-5 assists, set screens for someone else to score, or just call the play for someone else

Here’s the thing, “killer” and “scary” are pretty subjective terms that could mean different things to different people. One person might say “killer” is someone who never lets his foot off the gas, while someone else might say “killer” is someone who is clutch. You seem to be using a definition that uses ejections, techs, and flagrants as a measurement, which is a new one for me

He’s too friendly with other stars on the court and with the media. MJ was kind of a dick to everyone, and Kobe only became kind of nice to other players after his leg injury when he was a shell of his former self.

LeBron loves his banana boat image of a deal maker. Kobe and MJ were more stab you while looking at you type guys.

Being ‘Scary’ is better is just stupid narrative. Created by SAS and Skip Bayless. Ask every eastern conference teams if they were scared of lebron or not. Also, players being scared of other man is crazy glazing. Ever heard of all time great saying they were scared of MJ or Kobe?

He doesn’t have the mentality that they do. Not score first, not great one on one, shaky jump shot especially in the midrange, not as clutch, etc.

There are many reasons why Jordan was a"killer", but I think what’s usually ment, that U better don’t piss him off.

If Dillon would have a loose mouth when he would have played MJ, MJ probably would have dunked 10 times in a row on him and make sure he doesn’t get a shot up.

Several examples during his career, if you Google a bit.

That lead to opponents players even tried to avoid eye contact, just to make sure they are not a target for him.

Because Lebron flops and whines, or more accurately, that is what a large part of the general perception of Lebron is. Harder to curate that perception to your liking like Jordan was able to during the social media age.

Media members who played with these guys decided MJ and Kobe had borderline sociopathy and LeBron doesn’t, which to them means you’re a better basketball player than someone who is friendlier about destroying you and demanding the best in practice and etc.

We’re seeing enough people start to come out of the woodwork as low key traumatized by LeBron running a train on their teams that he’s going to be designated a killer 10-15 years ago once people who feel that way become major media personalities. That’s all it is.

A serious answer, and I am not getting into who was better, blah blah. But in sports having that killer drive to go at your opponent and basically say “I am going to beat you and finish you myself” is well received by other athletes and many fans. Lebron has always had the “Make the right play” mentality, which means very often throughout his career he will pass to role players for crucial shots. This gets taken the wrong way by many. You also have to factor in that it took Lebron a long Time to get respect as a top 2 all time, literally till 2016 with the Cavs. His early playoff failures hung over him for a long Time. Getting beat by Orlando in the ECF, having that terrible series against Boston where he was a no show while in Cleveland, getting beat by the 1 superstar team Dallas Mavs in Miami. And even when he won in Miami, there are a lot of fans that view it as the KD rings in GSW, as too easy and expected. It is why the Cleveland win is what started to turn the narrative for Lebron from a choker to a winner honestly.
