So Poole couldn’t play a better role for the Wizards right now. If we’re going to tank, he’s perfect. Some on our sub brought up how he should just go from tanking team to tanking team for the rest of his career. That would honestly be a win/win for everyone I feel like, but it got me thinking - what player often played a big role on tanking teams in their career? I watch a lot of the NBA but no one is coming to mind (it’s 5:00 a.m. though). Any thoughts on who was the best all-time tanking team leader?
Poole is the best. He already has a ring (and played a vital role on that team) and has signed a massive contract so he should be freewheeling for the rest of his career.
Poole isnt really gunning like I would expect him to, though. Last night he only took 9 shots. He has had a few games this season where he didnt shoot that many shots.
When I think tank commander, I think of a player who is just chucking and getting his stats without caring about the team results. That typically leads to a high draft pick.
