Tyrese Maxey: 6.9

Joel Embiid: 6.6

James Harden 6.2

Watching the Sixers and Clippers offenses since the Harden trade it’s understandable why this is happening. Clippers play the same slow paced, lifeless iso ball while the Sixers run a DHO and motion heavy offense. Still surprising to see the 2022 assists leader numbers be this low.

Philly was the best situation for him, even on a one year deal. But ego got in the way.

It’s no surprise his numbers cratered without Embiid. The only reason Harden had a 20/10 season last year was because he could dump the ball off to Embiid for a foul line jumper 6-7 times a game.

Now when he doesn’t have the benefit of racking up assists to the scoring champ his numbers look awful.

Harden’s stats per 100 possessions last year:

      • Embiid ON: 26.0 points and 15.2 assists on 62% TS
      • Embiid OFF: 35.6 points and 13.5 assists on 60% TS

I’m sure the Clippers would be happy with that Embiid off line.

      I don’t want him on /this/ team.

His style of play would slow the game down and he most likely wouldn’t play in nurses offense. He is and isn’t melo.

He’s a ball stopper even if he isnt shoot first now and distributes assists cuz /he/ has to make the play and does so by playing iso and finding embiid/the open guy on a double after driving etc…

The sixers are so much better now.
