Tyrese Maxey: 6.9

Joel Embiid: 6.6

James Harden 6.2

Watching the Sixers and Clippers offenses since the Harden trade it’s understandable why this is happening. Clippers play the same slow paced, lifeless iso ball while the Sixers run a DHO and motion heavy offense. Still surprising to see the 2022 assists leader numbers be this low.

James Harden’s unrestricted free agency this upcoming offseason ought to be one hell of a wake up call for him.

Harden’s a 34yo who doesn’t take the greatest care of his body. He’s lost a step, or three.

Harden has sacrificed shot attempts and assists because he wants to fit in and not ruffle any feathers. Still very early for this group. Nothing LAC does in the regular season means anything, obviously.

He’s averaging about 7 assists since they decided to bench Westbrook

Either war, the Clippers need some sort of identity

Harden is so passive out there

I think his passiveness is just who he is at this point in his career. Even last year I felt he was too passive. Sure he’ll have games where he’s more aggressive and shows flashes of his prime but mostly he’s just happy being an initiator/facilitator at this point in his career and doesn’t do a whole lot once he doesn’t have the ball.

I meant compared to themselves. Jokic is averaging more points than ever in the regular season and Embid more assists compared to his past self.

Anyone we trade for or sign immediatelt cuts and moves off ball day 1 until we beat it out of them. At least under Glenn lol. It’s no surprise batum and oubre are arguably the two best cutters embiid has played with

Yeah i have been hearing good things about Nick Nurse lately.

And with Jokic its probably just not having Jamal and him taking over scoring duties when his teammates strugle to score.

But it is intresting how the 76ers offense is now a lot more dynamic and Maxey is becoming a true star caliber player.

I remember hearing a lot of praise about his potential a while back, but without Harden he is showing it of quite nicely.

For me what won me over with Maxey was the series against the hawks.

He is so fast. He finally is a bit more controlled now.

He always looks like he’s having fun and cares alot. You could see it when he yelled at harden on a play over the playoffs. He was ready to take this step.

His shooting is now kinda godly though.

Nick nurse also is getting the best out of this team.

Oubre is gonna help so much I can’t wait for him to come back.

This year - as long as the basketball gods don’t break embiid face again I think we have a real shot.

Philly was the best situation for him, even on a one year deal. But ego got in the way.

It’s no surprise his numbers cratered without Embiid. The only reason Harden had a 20/10 season last year was because he could dump the ball off to Embiid for a foul line jumper 6-7 times a game.

Now when he doesn’t have the benefit of racking up assists to the scoring champ his numbers look awful.

Harden’s stats per 100 possessions last year:

      • Embiid ON: 26.0 points and 15.2 assists on 62% TS
      • Embiid OFF: 35.6 points and 13.5 assists on 60% TS

I’m sure the Clippers would be happy with that Embiid off line.

      I don’t want him on /this/ team.

His style of play would slow the game down and he most likely wouldn’t play in nurses offense. He is and isn’t melo.

He’s a ball stopper even if he isnt shoot first now and distributes assists cuz /he/ has to make the play and does so by playing iso and finding embiid/the open guy on a double after driving etc…

The sixers are so much better now.

Harden’s stats per 100 possessions this year:

    • Westbrook ON: 14 points and 8 assists on 56% TS (142 MP)
    • Westbrook OFF: 26 points and 10 assists on 64% TS (219 MP)

Still an infinitely better playmaker than Embiid and Maxey combined. Curry has like 3 APG this season. Doesn’t mean he’s not an all time playmaker. Just a symptom of horrible teammates
