This data was arbitrarily limited to players with more than 300 minutes played(198 Players)
How far does this go back and if people like Mutombo,DRob or Hakeem are tracked, how do they match up?
Misleading stat. If jordan Poole blocks 1 shot this year he’ll be at 100%
Poole has blocked 6 shots this year and is at 3.6%. I think the problem you are trying to point out is if a player goes in for one possession, blocks a shot and never plays again he’ll be at 100%. But I set a parameter that to make this list you need at least 300 minutes played. the fewest shots faced on this list is Joe Ingles with 76 and he has BLK/DFA of 2.6%
Also, it’s not Victor who avoids the defense.
It’s the offense that avoids Victor.
Fuck wrong wit wembanyaaama?
“You block 21.8% of the shots you defend, everytime”
- Wembanyama Panther
This is actually an absurd stat
Victor Blockem-all-ya
Who would’ve thought the 7’5 athletic 19 year old with a 20 foot wingspan would be the best defender in the league
that’s why its impossible for him to be a bust. his floor is rudy gobert a max contract guy with already more offense
I said this in another thread Victor’s floor is dikembe mutombo who is a Hall of famer by the way.
I think it’s closer to an unhackable Gobert. Wemby in the paint is going to be a tough matchup even if every part of his jumper never materializes.
That’s what a dot outside the curve is called.
that’s some prime r/toprightmessi material
That’s incredible actually
What…that’s a bonkers statistic no matter how you approach it
Surprised Mobley isn’t on this list, maybe he just defends a ton of shots
This is almost 5 standard deviations above the mean.
I think some people are glossing over how absurd this is lol
