No shit, he makes them money. That’s all they care about.

Les Moonves, executive chairman and CEO — “a lifelong Democrat who has a framed photograph of him with Presidents Obama and Clinton in both his New York and L.A. offices” — raving about how Donald Trump has turned the GOP primary into a bomb-throwing circus:

“It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS,” he said of the presidential race.

Moonves called the campaign for president a “circus” full of “bomb throwing,” and he hopes it continues.

“Most of the ads are not about issues. They’re sort of like the debates,” he said.

“Man, who would have expected the ride we’re all having right now? . . . The money’s rolling in and this is fun,” he said.

“I’ve never seen anything like this, and this going to be a very good year for us. Sorry. It’s a terrible thing to say. But, bring it on, Donald. Keep going,” said Moonves.

My brain dead conservative relatives’ response to this was “oh you cant take everything he says literally” then in the next breath theyll say he “tells it like it is”, is honest and speaks his mind.

Look if you’re going to lie to me, at least make sure your lies agree with each other.

Since Godwin’s Law is “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one," I propose a corollary:

“The longer that a Republican/right-winger speaks, the more the probability of them parroting Nazis or Hitler approaches one."

Those immigrants he says are pouring into our country must be hiding in attics or something because I have not noticed a difference in demographics in my area for years

There have been changes in the demographic makeup of the country. Census records have shown that minority groups have increased as a percentage of the population. The reasons for this are varied, but don’t involve any Great Replacement that the Republicans think is the case. And while immigration is part of the demographic change - as it has been in the past - it’s not the only reason.

Still, people like Trump see more brown and black people and say “they must be illegal immigrants here to ruin our wonderful white country.”
