3 US service members killed, 5 wounded, CENTCOM says

Three U.S. service members were killed and five were “seriously wounded” as part of the attacks on Iran, according to U.S. Central Command.

“As of 9:30 am ET, March 1, three U.S. service members have been killed in action and five are seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury,” CENTCOM announced Sunday morning in a post on X.

“Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being returned to duty,” the post continued. “Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing.”

Identifies of the service members killed are being withheld “until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified,” CENTCOM said, adding that “the situation is fluid.”

Nathan Hale: My only regret is that I have but one life to give for my country.

Modern soldiers: Maybe can we not give our lives just to move the news away from our justice department hiding or destroying evidence of the president sexually assaulting a 13 year old?

Yeah, I call bullshit. US bases got pummeled with missiles and suicide drones, there’s definitely way more than just three soldiers dead.

Not necessarily. I have a family member (civilian contractor) that gets deployed to military bases. They were even in Afghanistan. They told me that the early warning system is very effective and that the shelters can take quite a beating. What’s more likely is that the killed soldiers got caught outside.

Or they were the ones that got sent to the nearby hotels where the US military booked rooms for its soldiers and caught a drone shot

Either that or they were deployed close enough to planned missile strikes, and deemed “acceptable loss” if the balance was killing the leader of Iran
