I’m talking about white people whom are middle-aged. Because of the types of antagonists I’m writing in my novel, I wonder if anyone has some trashy names to suggest.
If you’re writing a novel, I would actually avoid the stereotypical names, unless you want people to think the work is low-brow. Dare to defy expectations. People expect a Cletus. Give them something more normal but not too uptight… like Nolan or Patrick, maybe… and let the character define himself rather than the name.

I interpret the question to say “what are common midwestern/country names popular in or before the year 1955?” rather than the clear implication that everyone named Cletus is actually evil.
