1 year agoSeiko doesn’t live up to their reputation. My pressage has terrible accuracy and terrible QC. In contrast, my Citizen is dead nuts accurate with great build quality. Seiko is massively overrated imo

You’re not alone. They look cheap, clunky, and underwhelming in person.
Seiko Presage Starlight. While the dial photographs well its boring and underwhelming in person. The quality is very poor and the strap is terrible.
Grand Seiko Snowflake. I wish I could put my finger on it but I never bonded with that watch, no idea why. I think about selling it often
Glashutte Original nails the green dials
The fab green seventies chronograph is spectacular too. I made the mistake of trying that on in person and its a tossup between that and the JLC master controll date for my next watch
I like them on paper and in photographs. In person they look and feel cheap.
Timex Expedition. I have to wear a quartz and it gets near up pretty bad throughout the day.
