As a rule, everyone from the past would be worse today. I’m sure you can find exceptions, but it’s a decent rule

I could have told you that with one word in her biography. Anyone can feel free to fill in the blanks, there’s a couple of options
He should solely talk in the 3rd person like The Rock in the late 90s
Plenty of people compare eras. I find the whole discussion about eras to be tiring at this point
This is so tiring
If the Warriors would part with a second rounder they could probably get Boban and try this
You’re right man, he shoulda got drafted by Denver
“Should they be concerned?” I’d say yes. It’s not the end of the world, but you can’t be thrilled about how things have gone
“Every possession is a foul”
There are literally fewer fouls called now than ever, and if you account for pace, it’s not even close
Using your logic, the Warriors very likely wouldn’t have won in 2022
Probably Chet, and I’m thinking this race may surpass last year’s MVP race as the most annoying in modern history
Good strategy to get fans in the arena.
“Tonight, one lucky fan will get to be the starting center!!!”
Title has rather purposeful, asymmetrical framing
Here’s one: not every bad #1 option would be a good #3-4 option.
If you look at the top 50 players in history, you’d probably find 20 different situations that they developed in. There’s really no evidence of any proven path to develop all star level players. It’s either gonna happen or it won’t
Victor would probably be more efficient and Chet less, but by bball reference’s tally, he’s had more shots at the rim than Chet this year, so the idea that Chet’s getting easy dunks/layups whereas Victor is having to create off the dribble is a little incorrect.
I think Wemby would probably score less though. On the Thunder, he’s the #2 option at best. On the Spurs he’s the #1 option, especially when Vassell is out. His raw scoring numbers get inflated by being able to Chuck away
His shot doesn’t look broken, so you’d have to assume it improves at some point. But yeah, he’s bad for now
These players are so good that they’re the best all time at a position that neither actually played very often
I think Chet is better than Wemby right now, but I think it’s absurd to draw macro level conclusions based on a sample size of a few games
If only the Spurs tanked last year too and could combine the slendermen combo of Chet and Wemby :(
