Magic sneaky deep team. Which I think tracks. Doing well without someone I’d consider a top tier NBA player right now but no glaring hole in the rotation.

The skill that I think isn’t translating here is ball handling. Someone like LeBron or Kawhi or KD has amazing ball handling for their size but wouldn’t really be playable at 6 feet. There’s just a huge gap between the handle of Chris Paul and your very good wing or big.
Right now on the Warriors I watch Klay, Wiggins and Kuminga all with handles like your average high school JV player and they’re all playable wings bc of their size. Drop them even a few inches and they’re all out of the league.
Lonzo was wild overhyped and now he’s a valuable role player when healthy. I can’t really enjoy watching LaMelo right now but he is definitely making progress so I think he’ll be my answer in two years.
I think Demar I’ve always thought of as overhyped but now that I’ve watched him so much with the Bulls I appreciate how he just goes out and is consistent. One of those miscast guys like Aaron Gordon.
Sloppy fat boy strikes again
The best thing the league could do for its long term health is contract. I know they’ll never do that. So the second best thing is to move teams out of the smaller markets and into bigger ones.
I think the NBA has four(?) teams in markets smaller than anything the MLB has.
Well the actual best thing is to force shitty owners to sell but they’d never really do that.
Toni Braxton ruined a dynasty
The old warriors answer used to be Damion Lee. He’s a perfect example of a guy who is the 14th man on the roster but was often asked to do too much. Last year the answer was probably JaMychal Green. Not his fault Warriors decided they didn’t need bigs and he’d have to play key minutes.
Idk what you’d expect besides a homer announcer. But a larger issue is there’s only like five good announcing teams in the NBA. Nets, Magic, Hornets, Kings……anyone else want to nominate their own? The warriors announcers aren’t even the worst just you all have to watch them every game bc the Warriors are always on national TV. Have you ever tried to listen to Phoenix, Wolves, Denver or the Rockets?
A lot of you need to get over getting bullied in middle school. It was two years ago. Move on.
Giannis. Just got better every year. And one of those guys that comes across as chill but is also an absolute psycho.
More than anything I think the league has moved. Originally it was the scoring guards that would get him in high pick and roll and use abuse him. Steph, Dame, Harden but also Donovan Mitchell and CP3 have had huge series just doing that on repeat. Basically none of those guys are threats or are on teams that are threats anymore and so you can’t exploit that weakness. A team like Heat, Celtics, Suns or Clippers are perfect for Jokic with big scoring wings.
This is one of the reasons why the TWolves really are a specific threat to Denver bc of Ant and the Warriors, despite all their other problems, would make Denver more nervous than either of the LA teams
I went to watch him play a high school game at UCLA. He was so hyped he put up a light 30 in a blow out and the people in the crowd were like he’s good but he’s not as good as they all say. In hindsight we know now he was just getting in some cardio
Also Sebastian Telfair was also playing that night (against different team) and he’s the one that won the crowd.
I like an idea I’ve heard of making it a “Triple Crown”. Winner of in season, best record of regular season and championship. If you marketed it enough and sold it, I think it could take off on its own. A special trophy and banner and all that. but attaching money to it always helps.
Good on you but also very clearly nobody cares. The NFL just keeps getting more popular and their guys are much worse. People care if you’re good or not. That’s it.
Definitely need AI. But just here to say TMac and especially VC are overrated. I can see an argument for a very peak TMac but VC was just not ever the guy. I’d put Dumars over VC or even Mitch Richmond or Sidney Moncrief.
Idk who convinced the world, probably Rich Paul, to refer to LeBron’s career by years instead of age but they did their job well.
It’s funny we just had this convo a few days ago and everyone brought up Dahntay Jones. If you saw him checking into the game you knew someone was going to get hurt.
It’s only too-online people that think this is a major story. Everyone else I’ve talked to who are basketball fans either didn’t care or laughed about it and moved on. It’s like Reddit spending months talking about Kyrie last season. Honestly nobody cares.
Nuggets. I despise Kroenke and shitty owners in general and so it annoys me when they’re successful and reinforced in their shitty-ness.
Ratings and clicks. If anyone watched anything besides the Lakers and Warriors then it’d happen. The local TV ratings beyond the Warriors are a disaster. The lowest attendance, in terms of % sellout, are all small market teams, so maybe start at home.
