Absolutely based. So much respect.

Same. I used to be an avid reader as a young adult but I couldn’t bear them anymore with how little they care about people. It’s all money money money, not people.
Whenever someone says “boost” or “strengthen” the immune system, its marketing BS.
I don’t generally blame people for falling for it, because you even have medical professionals falling for it.
To be fair, the economist is shit.
They cheer welfare cuts that are projected to put tens of thousands of children into poverty and complain about tiny tax increases on the rich.
The economist is the magazine of the upper class. They may be neo-liberal instead of straight up facist, but they are morally bankrupt.
Yeah it’s not even close.
James C Scott is such a legend
As george monbiot said, Russia, US, Israel are forming an axis of autocracy, along with smaller states like Hungary.
I guess the americans like their medicine even more expensive than the ridiculous profit margins our pharmaceuticals already claim?
How’s American Dad these days? I remember Season 1 and bits of Season 2 were genuinely funny and mostly based around caricatures of the american conservative. Then I had to stop watching because later seasons started to get more insensitive and “bothsidesy”.
The first 10 maybe 15, 20 is stretching it seasons of the simpsons were alright, parts of them genuinely good. Why we’ve continued another 20 years with lesser writers and low quality slop is beyond me…
My rule with langauge:
If you understand what they’re trying to say, then they did a good enough job expressing themselves.
(Also I love how this post is getting loads of upvotes because people are just seeing Bernie’s message and liking it lol).
I love the cute vibe, but I feel the need to rant:
“strengthens the immune system” doesn’t mean much. And if you take it at face value, it’s probably a bad thing, atleast in the West, more people suffer from overactive immune systems (allergies, autoimmune diseases) than underactive ones.
Was the first paragraph written by the Meta marketing department?
Toward the end of the Cretaceous, flowering plants (angiosperms) transformed ground habitats, making them more diverse. While it was known that tree-dwelling mammals faced challenges after the impact of the asteroid, it wasn’t clear if mammals adapted by becoming more ground-based. Earlier research primarily analyzed complete skeletons to study how ancient mammals moved.
A recent University of Bristol study reveals that many mammals were transitioning to a ground-based lifestyle before the asteroid’s impact. By analyzing small bone fragments—an approach never used to study whole communities—the researchers examined fossils from museums in New York, California, and Calgary. Their findings show that a significant shift toward ground-dwelling occurred several million years before the mass extinction that ended the age of dinosaurs.
Since your Australia section is lacking, here’s a couple:
transport > transit
ute > pickup truck
bogan > redneck
metro > subway
cyclone > hurricane
Cloud? If you automatically have everything cloud hosted it could work okay.
Fireworks should be something only done in public spaces for public festivals and stuff. Or perhaps on privatly owned rural isolated land.
It’s ridiculous people can just do noise pollution in the middle of cities. My mother has a neurological disease that can be worsened by acute noise. It always takes her weeks to recover after fireworks, even with earplugs and noise cancelling headphones.
Not really at all. Look up anarchism on wikipedia. This is the first paragraph:
Anarchism is a political philosophy and movement that seeks to abolish all institutions that perpetuate authority, coercion, or hierarchy, primarily targeting the state and capitalism.[1] Anarchism advocates for the replacement of the state with stateless societies and voluntary free associations. A historically left-wing movement, anarchism is usually described as the libertarian wing of the socialist movement (libertarian socialism).

“Anarcho-Capitalism” is a rather recent name for a sort of ideology that most anarchists would instead call “stateless capitalism”
Never liked the term “primitive”, it’s kind of like “barbarian”, used to push the civilisational narrative to justify imperialism and colonialism by saying they are “civilising” people…
But the Aussie lad behind the channel is an absolute legend. Love him. Just great videos so relaxing to watch.
