News@lemmy.world•Trump signs executive order fast-tracking reclassification of marijuana
4·12 days agoOh, I know he’s not legalizing it. Just commenting on how he said he would in the first term.
It is the tiniest step in the right direction to reclassify.
He also indicated he would not be open to legalizing cannabis for recreational use. “It’s never safe to use powerful controlled substances in a recreational manner,” he said.
And 5 steps back.

News@lemmy.world•Trump signs executive order fast-tracking reclassification of marijuana
17·12 days agoA broken rapist, racist, treasonous calendar is right once a year (or maybe once a decade).
Its doesn’t undo a decade-long campaign to dismantle the country for profit and power. But it’s nice that he finally did something positive.
Anyways, remember when he said the left would suddenly be against legalizing weed once he supported it, and everyone collectively said “fucking legalize it”?

I do both the title rankings and the points rankings every week! Title rankings are fun for the chaos.
IT HAPPENED!
Bonus rankings! This one is more straightforward. Teams get points for wins. They get more points for beating good teams and fewer points for beating bad teams. (+32 for beating the best team, +1 for beating the worst). Teams lose points for losses. They lose more points for losing to bad teams and fewer points for losing to good teams. (-32 for losing to the worst team, -1 for losing to the best). The point total was reset with the first game of the season.
TEAM Ranking Points Rams 1 191 Seahawks 2 144 Texans 3 128 Jaguars 4 125 Broncos 5 117 49ers 6 114 Bills 7 75 Eagles 8 63 Chargers 9 61 Patriots 10 51 Colts 11 49 Packers 12 48.5 Bucs 13 31 Bears 14 30 Lions 15 15 Steelers 16 14 Panthers 17 4 Chiefs 18 -6 Cowboys 19 -37.5 Ravens 20 -38 Cardinals 21 -44 Vikings 22 -47 Falcons 23 -60 Saints 24 -65 Dolphins 25 -79 Titans 26 -81 Bengals 27 -94 Commanders 28 -121 Giants 29 -136 Raiders 30 -139 Jets 31 -143 Browns 32 -170

News@lemmy.world•Nick Reiner to be charged with murder in death of parents, officials say
41·14 days agoJust so you know, I’ve wondered the same thing. Like, in 50 years if my son snapped and killed me or some shit, I wouldn’t want him to get the death penalty.
Looking up penalty stats will tell you that the Chiefs commit more penalties than other teams. What it won’t tell you is whether the Chiefs get bad calls in their favor, and whether they happen at critical moments of the game.
I live close enough to Missouri that I get all their games. They get so many calls that tip the game in their favor. Penalty stats be damned. Watch the damn games.

NFL@lemmy.world•Weird schedule for the Packers. Bears - Broncos- Bears.....
2·23 days agoI feel like I’ve seen A, B, bye week, A.
But I don’t think I’ve seen A, B, A.
Edit: In 2023, Broncos and Chiefs played weeks 6 and 8. So that’s one ABA schedule I found. But no, I wouldn’t say it’s common.
Edit 2: Bucs and Panthers play in week 16 and 18. Also, if one of them sweeps, they win the division.

Fun fact, both of last week’s rankings predicted the Texans beating the Bills.

15·1 month agoHe has done it so much and gotten away with it, it’s been normalized.
January 6th (aka, the insurrection) should have been a wake up call for everyone. A lot of people don’t care about their country or God or whatever else they claim. Many just care about community.
I’m a big fan of their DuchesS which is a recreation of the second OG Xbox controller (controller S). Especially with backwards compatible OG Xbox games.
I’ve considered the Duke recreation though.
