It’s not “playing with a worse team” it’s “winning with a worse team,” and I think that Steph getting this Warriors team to a manageable record is more impressive than Durant doing something similar with a slightly better roster.

For me personally? It’s Steph’s playmaking and limited offensive support. I’m not pretending like KD has had it easy so far with the Suns, but he’s had a few games with Booker, and the Suns as a unit look more competitive than GSW right now. Klay’s talent is fading and Draymond isn’t as good on defense anymore.
Is Lebron not playing PF while AD is at Center? I would’ve thought he switched over given his age.
I feel like a few players could do this but wouldn’t want to because it would either mean that they’re on a bad team or the team is playing poorly.
My initial choice would be Luka, but I think Steph has the capability to do so given how the Warriors are playing right now.
He was asked at age 19 to carry
At age 39, not much has changed
How about CMC? Give it to an RB for a change. He’s having a hell of a year, leading the league in rushing yards and total TDs, and he’s certainly the most valuable player on one of the best teams in the league. I think most people were counting him out after his injury history in Carolina, but he’s persevered and managed to be a real threat.
Aside from Mahomes and Rodgers? There are a few that are borderline but probably wouldn’t make it.
Matt Stafford comes to mind for his impressive stats and his Super Bowl ring. Kirk Cousins has revitalized his career In Minnesota. Lamar Jackson is the only one not named “Patrick Mahomes” or “Aaron Rodgers” who has an MVP. That’s the best I can come up with.
Really liked what I saw from Okogie, but damn Durant was out there chuckin’ bricks

He’s not right but he’s not wrong. Russ should be in the back half of a top 50, maybe barely outside it. 80 is way too low.
That’s an interesting thought, but I don’t know if they would’ve been able to play at a level like that considering that DWade and Bosh were regressing due to age and injuries.
Surprised at the lack of Kevin Garnett answers
No, the big gap between the 2002 and 2001 Lakers
I feel like that says more about the inconsistency of using defensive rating.
Ah yes, interesting, I probably should have considered the perspective of degenerate gamblers who bet on anything.
I think the only playoff series win MJ had before Pippen was the starter was against the Cavs, when we get The Shot in Game 5 of a 5 game series. I’m pretty sure that was his MVP/DPoY season too, so it’s not like he was too inexperienced to succeed or anything like that.
Maybe if he played he could have a 2018/2007 Lebron kinda run, where he can succeed when the best competition is the rising Tatum Celtics or the Ben Wallace-less Pistons, but I mean I imagine any actual competitor would make easy work of him. An MJ carry-job for sure is getting swept by the KD Warriors.
Kobe had a finals game against the Pistons in 2004 where he put up 4 baskets on 13 shots for 11 points.
They have to put him in the HoF if he gets 10K rushing yards, right?
