For Harris it was injuries and then what appeared to be a serious mental block that killed his shot. He was one of the best finishers at the rim and a 40% 3 pt shooter with elite defense on guards for 2-3 years. Shame because his skillset fit perfectly. Trading him benefited bith parties and Nuggets nation will always love the first designated ‘Mr Nugget’
It doesnt matter if they got better from the year before if all the other teams are still better regardless. Yes the bad teams in the West should be fun this year. They wont approach 40 wins though.
You mean a guy asked to carry offense and playmake, then switched to a team that required a totally different skillset, so he adapted…and because he wasnt good enough at the other stuff he doesnt need to do now he is overrated?
If he had elite playmaking and gravity he wouldnt be a role player
Kenyon Martins best years were in the slowest era of basketball. Need to normalize stats to per 100 to compare. He was also a REALLY good defensive player even though he wasnt a great shot blocker. Strong and positionally sound.
Right. It wasnt wrong for kawhi to be picked where he was. Hard to predict someone overhauling their offensive game to dramatically after getting into the league.
chemistry from playing so many years together. Also Murray has a very extensive set of moves all over the floor. So he can create shots from wherever he is.
Also, Traes whole game of ‘is it a floater or a lob’…wouldnt exist with Jokic.
I think Murray gets undervalued a bit because of Jokic at times. His bag is legit.
As a Nuggets fan watching this team come into its own there were people crying about Paul Millsap getting signed a few years ago because he was older. It is vital for young budding stars to have wisened vets and it is now important for top heavy contenders to fill in their roster with rookie contracts. There are plenty of other roster issues (like getting mediocre starters to come in and take minutes from developing players), but that isnt about timeline as much as not having a good vision for the future.
Mental fatigue is the bigger concern
