President Donald Trump says his 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico are coming on Saturday. Trump also said he'll "probably” decide on Thursday night whether to include oil from those countries as part of his import taxes.

Good… keep making the country worse. Maybe, just maybe, more people will start to take notice how awful this moron is.

    But who am I kidding?

Canada should just add a export tax. Why should the US government get the money.

Why would you tax your exports? Exports are what drive money into your country. Trump views it as, I can hurt their countries economies and the only people who get hurt in return are U.S. consumers. Unfortunately many voters are consumers who can’t do math.

They won’t, because Danielle Smith is a wedge in Canadian political unity.

If only they’d wake up and realize they fucked up. They won’t though. They’ll be told who to blame and go along with exactly that.

    Stealing this from another comment:

The Agreement between the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada (USMCA) was entered into force on July, 1, 2020, under the USMCA Implementation Act, H.R. 5430; Public Law 116-113. It replaces the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) which was in force from January 1, 1994 to June 30, 2020.

Hmm who was president in 2020?
