For me it’s Derrick Rose’s career if he hadn’t been injured. The youngest mvp in history with some of the most electric basketball we’ve ever seen, it feels a little like robbery to have not been able to see that unfold.

Spurs don’t win 2014 if we win 2013
This, unfortunately. I mean, you never know, but the hunger that team had to avenge that loss was like nothing I can recall ever seeing in the NBA (as a biased Spurs homer). They lost in the first round in 2015. (Granted, CP3 played out of his mind at his absolute peak, even with an injury and Kawhi had a mediocre series)
Damn, that 2014 was such a masterclass. If you win 2013, I like to believe Heat will display their masterclass in 2014
That’s an interesting thought, but I don’t know if they would’ve been able to play at a level like that considering that DWade and Bosh were regressing due to age and injuries.
I understand this thought process but I think it’s more likely the Heat do something drastic and become even worse in 14. I know the Spurs were motivated due to the devastating loss in 13, but Duncan and Pop with a young Kawhi didn’t exactly need motivation.
The Spurs had chances but never were able to go back to back. It’s not unlikely that without that revenge factor of avenging their only Finals loss against the team that did it to them that the next season in 2014 they come up a bit short.
It’s definitely possible there was talks of one of Wade or Bosh being traded if they lost to Boston in 2012
Absolutely
