First of all Shaq is one of the kindest and most jovial and nicest guys to fans. No fan has ever had a bad experience with him.

He may not be a perfect x and o’s analyst but he doesnt say the same cliche things other guys like Reggie, Jackson, Burke, Smith all say. He has his own trailblazing opinions and is always genuine and honest.

He also seems to genuinely care about the players and wants to see them improve and he expresses it in weird ways but he clearly cares and wants to help players.

Everyone hates that hes too harsh on Dwight but those are the standards hes held him to.

I think because his take is very simple. “Play like this then you’ll win. 28 and 15.”

If you watch when they used to do the on court examples and it’s big man stuff he breaks things down better. Big man 101 on YouTube is one of my favorites to watch from them.

He is one of the most famous and beloved NBA players EVER. People hate on him for always bringing up Rings as a way to win an argument/point. Otherwise he’s universally loved.

Because his role on the show is:

    • 40% laugh at Chuck’s jokes

    • 40% act salty at Chuck’s jokes

    • 10% Rings Erneh

    • 5% Shaqtin

    • 5% Shitting on Modern Bigs

    Dude offers almost no analysis.

      Dude offers almost no analysis.

You mean to tell me, “I was telling Chuck in the back, if they come out tonight and do what they need to do, they should win this game” isn’t enough hard hitting analysis for you?

He deserves some hate for being so sensitive regarding current players and his own accomplishments.

A key feature of being on television…

he doesnt say the same cliche things other guys like Reggie, Jackson, Burke, Smith all say

He is the father of rings culture

He also seems to genuinely care about the players and wants to see them improve

Because people have this fake narrative that he didn’t work hard. He didn’t work as hard as Kobe, who has one of the best work ethics ever. He still put in work

He was kinda a bully, sensitive and hypocritical, and some people find him boring in that TNT show.

Also, many didn’t like how he was so defensive about his legacy and for attacking others like Dwight.

He seems like Trump to me. He can be funny and seemingly nice but he will show no morale if someone remotely disagrees with him.

He’s one of those people that are nice because he’s rich or well off. (Quoting The Parasite movie)

Haven’t watched Shaq in a few years but from what I remember he’s a manchild bully who dishes out jokes but can’t take any, becomes super butthurt and immediately brings up his accomplishments.
