I know most of the players aren’t playing anywhere near their potential with Curry carrying them like his life depended on it. But even if they all did better, is it still a championship team?

It’s looking like “no”, but you just can’t count out a team with the Splash Bros because they’re awfully tough to beat IF they both get hot.

    Big IF.

I’d guess not. With GS’s core not getting any younger, it could be argued that their window was closed by the Draymond/Poole incident last season. Klay seems off this year. They have CP3. So when the playoffs come and the Warriors find themselves needing a second unit leader, CP3’s going to be unavailable to them. He’ll pull a hammy or something.

If GS’s players play to their reputations then the Warriors aren’t contenders. But the Warriors have surprised us all before. Steph is wicked talented. Klay could just be having a rough start. Wiggins is a difficult player to get a good read on. Their roster ain’t bad.

you phrased this as if people thought they were? not the same team from 2 seasons ago. anyway, its hard to rely on the “potential” of older players because they just might be what they are. hoping one or two moves are made before the deadline if not sooner.

It’s insane to think a team that’s won a bunch of trophy’s with essentially the same team is being ridden off. When you have an absolute game changer like Steph, literally anything can happen

The exact same as any team with lebron on it

Using your own actual money. Are you going to ever bet against Steph or lebron?

I’m not talking long time wins. But I’ll never bet against Steph or lebron. Chances are just so much on their side for a career long bet. I’m going with them

Without Curry, they are by far the worst team in the league. But with him there, they have a chance to beat anyone.

They have a lot of assets and tradable salaries; that’s the only thing making them contenders. So many moves they can make.

I don’t view them as imminent threats, but I also would not want to match up with them in the playoffs. If they happen to win it all, I’d shrug my shoulders and be like “Yeah, that happens sometimes.”

Absolutely yes. Both rookies look good enough for serious minutes, Wiggins and Kuminga are becoming expendable trade pieces at the deadline.

Steph is still the best player in the NBA when he needs to be. It’s is possible.

They do have the champion mentality in them, but no second consistent scorer will definitely hurt
