In light of Miles Bridges return, I will be boycotting watching the Hornets. However, stopping there would be hypocritical. Therefore, I have decided to boycott all NBA teams that have employed a player or coach with a confirmed history of domestic violence. To be clear, I’m not including dismissed cases, or rumors. I’m also not including situations that happened after a player left a team, or situations that happened after a player left a team. Also this isn’t 100% comprehensive, but enough for you to get the point. In 2001, Jason Kidd pled guilty to domestic violence. He went on to play for the Nets, Mavericks and Knicks. He also coached for the Nets, Bucks, Lakers and Mavericks. As a result, I will be boycotting these teams. In 2012, Jordan Hill pled no contest to domestic violence. He went on to play for the Lakers, Pacers, and Timberwolves. As a result, I will be boycotting these teams. In 2016, Darren Collison pled guilty to domestic violence. He went on to play for the Kings and Pacers. As a result, I will be boycotting these teams. Kobe played his entire career for the Lakers. In 2007, Ron Artest pled no contest to domestic violence. He went on to play for the Kings, Rockets, Lakers and Knicks. As a result, I will be boycotting these teams. In 2021, Jaxson Hayes was sentenced to community service for a domestic violence incident. He went onto play for the Pelicans and is now on the Lakers. I will be boycotting these teams. Hopefully, some of you can join me. These teams need to be held accountable. Also, please let me know who I’m missing.
I thought Chuck asking Silver that question was great. Silver was caught off guard too.
But more accountability.
bro you were not watching the hornets before lmao
I personally choose to boycott domestic violence. No more domestic violence for me
Noticed you commented in the Steelers sub, so I’ll assume you’re a fan
Thoughts on the Big Ben allegations & why you didn’t boycott them?
Bro really trying to virtue signal when NBA is in bed with China
You should boycott this sub too.
Please let us all know when you stop your boycott. Or don’t.
Yep you’re absolutely right and it seems Professor Charles Xavier doesn’t care at all.
This isn’t an NBA problem dude, to my knowledge both the MLB and the NFL have a much much worse DV problem.
Eh I’ve interacted with too many student athletes to be surprised by anything they do. Ignoring the players’ transgressions is an unfortunate reality of being a sports fan, sadly. All you can do is root for your team despite the bad apples and definitely not waste a second of your life doing free PR for rich human garbage that wouldn’t cross the street to piss on you if you were on fire.
Collison also later played for the Lakers. They have a lot of names on your list and I’m glad they’ve caught flack for it
Lol so you refuse to not watch horrendous basketball be played. Bravo to you brave sir you are an inspiration to me
You were never watching the hornets to begin with
Ok
People going to come at me but since when did we as a society say that people who have committed violent crimes can’t work? If you don’t like that he’s working shouldn’t he instead be incarcerated? But then isn’t society mad about black incarceration rates? So don’t send to jail but don’t let work either, make them be homeless? I’m really confused by all this.
