Sengun demonstrates his importance to the team with a double-double in a close game. When he sat out a significant amount of the 3rd quarter due to fouls, the Rockets offense looked poor, and that is reflected in the ±. While he did have many TOs and had to be more passive on defense due to fouls, he otherwise played a good game and continues to be the best-looking, and most consistent, of the Rockets’ young core.

Sengun hesitates a lot on his three and jumpers. If he let’s them go with no hesitation. I expect a super jump in his ppg

Yeah, the outside shot just isn’t super consistent at this point which is why he’s hesitant. I don’t mind it though, because I’m pretty sure Sengun’s thought process is “I can find a better shot inside the arc for myself, or get a better shot for my teammate”, and tbh I think that’s true. He’s been a great decision maker for us this year.

while single game +/- is still NOT a valuable stat for the purposes of making actual statistical claims and stuff… ignore that for the moment because it doesn’t tell ENOUGH of the story tonight. +21 in a 1-point loss and I swear that’s understating his impact.

It is up to the where Sengun needs to realize that he is the franchise player and start shooting that rock with no hesitation. Everybody else seems to be on board with it. Shoot 20-25 shots and lets get that ppg up a bit ayy
